The Smithpack manufacturing plants currently produce over 20 million quality cases, boxes and fittings in a variety of over 3000 different specifications each year.

High quality 3 colour post-print flexo capabilities with highly experienced operators working with advanced specialised inks and varnishes to produce high quality products.

Four metre rotary die-cut, printing, meaning large floor display, large car body part or furniture packaging can be produced one piece.

Extensive die-cutting capabilities:   Rotary, Flat Bed Automatic, Platen Flat Bed and large scale Roller Press, allowing design freedom for maximum packaging effectiveness

As one of the UK's largest independent buyers of Corrugated Sheet, with an annual demand of around 15 million square metres, Smithpack enjoy effective purchasing arrangements with a number of key suppliers offering benefits of prompt lead times and security and continuity of supply.


Logistics - Stocking & Distribution

In addition to fast manufacturing reaction and turnaround times, Smithpack also has over 100,000 sq feet of warehousing space across the UK and sophisticated finished stock tracking systems to ensure effective customer service offering prompt lead times and priority stocking for Just in Time and call-off delivery requirements.

The company operates it's own 10 vehicle fleet, both rigid and artic/trailer curtainsiders capable of operating 24 hours and in addition Smithpack retains established haulage contractors to ensure a reliable and effective transport operation across the country.

A Pallet bar-coding stock control system gives the company improved stock visibility and traceability ensuring stock is maintained at appropriate levels for call-off arrangements agreed with customers.

The company operates "Just in Time" stocking and for some customers a "Kanban" style delivery by our drivers in agreed batch quantities direct to the customer's manufacturing line is in operation. Overnight "Drop & Swop Trailer" deliveries are also available options where appropriate.

In short, Smithpack has the flexibility to find logistic solutions that work for their customers.
